Inauguration of Divisional Program Organizer Training by Divisional Commissioner, Konkan Division
"Be job providers, not job seekers" – Dr. Vijay Suryawanshi, Divisional Commissioner, Konkan Division Representative – Mumbai A training program for divisional program organizers was inaugurated on April 29, 2025, at the Divisional Commissioner’s Committee Hall in Konkan Bhavan, Navi Mumbai. This program was organized by the Maharashtra Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (MCED), Mumbai, under the Directorate of Industries, Government of Maharashtra. Youth from Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, and Palghar districts participated in the event. The chief guest of the program was Dr. Vijay Suryawanshi, Hon. Divisional Commissioner, Konkan Division, who officially inaugurated the event. Mrs. Sanjeevani Jadhav, Assistant Director, Divisional Information Office, Konkan Division, was also present as a special guest. Mr. Dattatraya Thaware, Divisional Officer, MCED Mumbai, gave the welcome address and shared brief information about the MCED and the purpose of the training. He explained the importance of entrepreneurship training for youth development. Mrs. Sanjeevani Jadhav appreciated the growing participation of women in entrepreneurship and said it is a proud moment for society. In his speech, Dr. Vijay Suryawanshi encouraged the participants to aim at creating at least 50 entrepreneurs after completing the training and to share their success after six months. He also urged them to take this message to schools, colleges, and ITIs to promote entrepreneurship. He gave an overview of business opportunities in the Konkan region and wished everyone success. Mr. Subodh Singh Bais, Project Officer from Thane, anchored the program, and Mr. Pradeep Sawant, Project Officer, MCED Mumbai, gave the vote of thanks. Mr. Dhammapal Thorat, Project Officer, MCED Palghar, was also present.
